Google Reader drops support for old browsers

RSS feeds had made a small revolution when it comes to blogging, you didn’t have to visit your subscribed blogs because you would receive latest headlines and posts through RSS feeds. Back in the 2005, Google released Google Reader services that allowed you to read Atom and RSS feeds and all that you needed was Google Account and any web browser. But now Google has decided to make some changes to Google Reader by dropping support for older browsers.

Google Chrome OS arriving this fall and it won’t cost you a penny!

Google has said yesterday that it is planning to release its Chrome operating system, seen as Microsoft Windows’ upcoming greatest rival in fall 2010 completely free of charge. “We are working on bringing the device later this fall,” said Google vice president of product management Sundar Pichai at CompuTex Taipei, Asia’s biggest IT trade show.

Sony + Intel + Google = Google TV

Google has teamed up with Sony and Intel, and the three companies will be releasing Google TV. Google TV, made by Sony and powered by Intel chips. It will run the Android OS.
The TV project, according to the New York Times, is still under wraps, but that hasn’t stopped the details from leaking. The GTV will be based on the Android OS, and come in the form of both a set-top box and actual TV-sets. There will be regular television, of course, but also Hulu, YouTube and other web-video sources, as well as games and apps for social networking.
It seems like Google are close to releasing developer tools for Google TV, developer tools are expected in the next two months, Logitech has reportedly been approached to make peripherals such as speakers and a QWERTY-equipped remote. Source
